Official Routes for Hickory County

Hickory County Sheriff's Office
Sheriff Greg Burke
18682 Jackson St.
Hermitage, MO 65668
Phone: 417-745-6415
Fax: 417-745-6205
Published office hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. County pages indicate a noon lunch closure. Call before visiting.

The sheriff's line is the only verified direct route for county booking or arrest-record questions. No separate records number, booking desk, media line, public roster, or request form was confirmed. Call and ask for the current records custodian. The state 2025-2026 roster also lists hickorycso@centurytel.net, but it prints an older Dallas Street address. Confirm current details by phone before sending sensitive material or traveling to the office.

  • Booking records or photographs: Start with the sheriff's office and ask for the records custodian. A written Missouri Sunshine Law request should identify the record type, dates, and delivery preference. The agency should respond as soon as possible and no later than the end of the third business day, subject to any lawful delay notice. RSMo ยง610.026 allows up to 10 cents per standard copy page plus applicable actual costs, so ask for an estimate before approving a large request.
  • Current custody or a release alert: Call the sheriff because no public Hickory roster was verified. MOVANS is a statewide, participation-dependent custody-notification route. It is not a Hickory County roster and cannot by itself confirm a local booking or release.
  • Court docket, case status, or warrant questions: Use Case.net for public court entries, then contact the Hickory County Circuit Court Clerk at 417-745-6421. The prosecutor's office identifies the clerk as the local court and warrant route.
  • State-prison custody: Use the Missouri Department of Corrections offender search. State custody is different from a county booking and should not be treated as proof of a recent Hickory County arrest.
  • How the sources fit together: The Home page explains why the official sheriff, court, and state paths answer different questions.
